About Sinus, Nose & Allergy Care

Your nose and sinuses do more than help you breathe. They filter, warm and moisten the air you inhale, and they support your sense of smell. That is why problems here can show up in many ways: a blocked or runny nose, facial pressure, headaches, repeated sneezing, loss of smell, post-nasal drip, snoring or poor sleep.

At Centosa, our ENT specialists look at the nose, sinuses and allergies together. We use nasal endoscopy, imaging and allergy testing to find the root cause. We then offer personalized treatment, from medication and allergy management to advanced endoscopic sinus and septum surgery when needed.

Clear nasal passages mean easier breathing, better sleep and a fresher day.

Medical & Allergy Management

Nasal sprays, saline rinses and allergy medicines, with practical guidance on avoiding triggers, to control sinusitis, allergic rhinitis and polyps without surgery.

Septum & Nasal Airway Surgery

Procedures such as septoplasty and turbinate reduction to straighten the nasal partition and open the airway when a structural problem is the cause of blockage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about sinus, nose and allergy problems.

When should I see an ENT doctor for a sinus or nose problem?
See an ENT specialist if a blocked nose, facial pressure or thick nasal discharge lasts more than 10 days, if symptoms keep coming back, or if you have a reduced sense of smell, frequent sneezing or loud snoring. Seek care urgently if you have swelling around the eyes, a high fever with severe facial pain, vision changes, or a nosebleed that does not stop after 15 to 20 minutes of firm pressure.
What is the difference between a sinus infection and an allergy?
Allergies are caused by your immune system reacting to triggers like dust, pollen or pets. They usually cause sneezing, an itchy nose and eyes, and clear watery discharge. A sinus infection causes facial pain or pressure, thick yellow or green discharge and sometimes fever. The two can occur together, because untreated allergies can block the sinuses and lead to infection. An ENT examination helps find the exact cause.
What causes chronic sinusitis?
Sinusitis is called chronic when symptoms last 12 weeks or longer. Common causes include untreated allergies, a deviated septum, nasal polyps, repeated infections and swollen turbinates. Finding the underlying cause, often with nasal endoscopy and a CT scan, is the key to lasting relief.
Do I need surgery for sinus problems?
Most people improve with medicines, nasal sprays, saline rinses and allergy management, and do not need surgery. Surgery is considered only if symptoms continue despite proper treatment, or if there is a structural problem such as a deviated septum or nasal polyps. Modern endoscopic surgery (FESS) is minimally invasive and is done through the nostrils, with no cuts on the face.
Can allergies be treated permanently?
Medicines and avoiding triggers control symptoms well for most people. For long-term relief, allergy testing identifies your triggers, and immunotherapy (allergy shots or drops) can build tolerance over time and reduce how much medicine you need. Your ENT specialist will advise the right option for you.
